Chief of Staff of the Royal Australian Navy’s Fleet Air Arm, Captain Don Dezentje, welcomed the Navy’s newest pilots into the ranks of the Fleet Air Arm at a graduation ceremony held at 2 Flight Training School, at RAAF Pearce in Western Australia.

The City of Parramatta paid tribute to the service of men and women from all ships that have carried the Parramatta name in a wreath laying ceremony at the HMAS Parramatta (I) memorial at Queens Wharf Park this week.

The HMAS Perth (I) memorial service onboard HMAS Ballarat (II) was administered by Ballarat’s chaplain, Chaplain Rendall Walker.

HMAS Ballarat held a moving memorial service to commemorate the crew of HMAS Perth (I) while passing through the Sunda Strait yesterday.

Family members of Noel Shipp, the namesake of the newest Division at Recruit School in HMAS Cerberus, were guests of honour at the first graduation on 30 August 2013.

On 9 August, service personnel, Dignitaries and local expatriates gathered onboard the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force Maritime Vessel Lata to commemorate the sinking of HMAS Canberra (I).

HMAS Albatross has extensive Anzac Day commitments throughout the Shoalhaven every year and in 2013, the base provided 25 catafalque parties and 250 personnel for services stretching from the coastal towns of Kiama to Ulladulla, and as far west as Holbrook.
