On the eve of the Sandown 500, the excitement revved up for Team Navy and Ford Performance Racing as they showcased their strengthening relationship with an impressive display of airpower from one of Navy’s Seahawk helicopters alongside the unveiling of new Navy branding on the V8 Supercars Pepsi Max Crew Fords.

There was a colourful change to the final day of the 2013 Australian Defence Force Netball Carnival. This year the committee decided to dedicate the final day to raising money for the McGrath Foundation.

The Albatross Demons AFL team took out the South Coast New South Wales Reserve Grade Grand Final when they beat the competition favourites, the Port Kembla Blacks, on the weekend.

Winning smiles, the Navy Nordic Skiing and Biathlon team took out the 2013 ADF Championships at Mt Hotham.

The annual ADF Nordic Skiing and Biathlon championships at Mt Hotham may be called Exercise Coolshot, but "hotshots" may be a better name to describe the combined efforts of the Navy team in 2013.  In an outstanding team effort, the Navy took out the Defence championships, narrowly edging out a high performing RAAF side and a strong Army men's team.

A recent port visit to Sydney by the United States Navy ship USS Bonhomme Richard provided a perfect opportunity for the Royal Australian Navy's rugby players to showcase their experienced and developing players against an enthusiastic US outfit.
