Sharing your knowledge and experience is imperative in managing safety and risk. It encourages transparency, discussion, and involvement, which in turn encourages an overall proactive approach to safety within the workplace. This was the objective when SUBFOR Safety Cell and 25SQN Safety Cell recently met in a safety first at HMAS Stirling, Western Australia.

The safety professionals of both Navy and Airforce took the opportunity to discuss and share their combined cross-force safety knowledge and experiences, industry information, working at heights issues and hazardous chemical management.

The combined safety team are looking forward to continuing their proactive approach to sharing information and establishing a positive Safety Culture to flow on to their Units and workplaces. This will be achieved together through ongoing regular meetings to further discuss common hazards and trends, suggest improvements and share solutions to improving their safety management systems.
