More than three-and-a-half decades of service were honoured in Brisbane recently, with the award of a Gold Service Medallion to a Warrant Officer of many talents.
HMAS Moreton recently hosted a visit by the Chief of Navy Vice Admiral Tim Barrett, providing an opportunity for him to meet members of Moreton’s ships company and to liaise with groups that engage with Navy in South East Queensland.
Navy vessels visiting Brisbane have had straightforward and simple access to services while they’re alongside, due to a small but effective team the nation’s smallest commissioned establishment.
Members of HMAS Moreton’s ship’s company recently embarked on a trip to Mt Tamborine in Queensland, and were put through their paces by Chief Petty Officer Physical Training Instructor June Cunningham for an adventure training exercise.
The local community came together to help HMAS Moreton celebrate a big milestone – the Queensland establishment’s first birthday.
