Navy Band members interact with students prior to conducting a performance for the entire school.

Navy musicians have brought music to the Red Centre, visiting Yirara College in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. The College is an Indigenous Boarding School encompassing students from remote areas of Australia.

Fire-fighters from the Western Australian Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) recently teamed up with the School of Ships’ Survivability and Safety Training Facility – West (RANSSSS TF-W) at HMAS Stirling to hone their maritime fire-fighting skills.

The beaches of Garden Island, the location of HMAS Stirling and Fleet Base West, are considerably cleaner after a recent major clean-up by Navy, the Department of Defence, the WA State Government, and contractor Broadspectrum.
