An MH-60R Seahawk Helicopter from 816 Squadron lands on HMAS Hobart's flight deck during a flight deck trial alongside Fleet Base East, Garden Island, Sydney.

It was a marriage made in...Fleet Base East recently, when Navy’s most sophisticated helicopter partnered with Navy’s most potent and capable warship.

HMAS Toowoomba’s embarked Seahawk MH-60R helicopter, more colloquially known as a ‘Romeo’, recently completed a deep-level service at sea during her deployment as part of the Indo-Pacific Endeavour task group.

The Royal Australian Navy's MH-60R Romeo helicopter conducts functional testing of the newly fitted Airborne Low Frequency Sonar System (ALFS) off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida.

Navy's MH-60R Seahawk Romeo helicopters have passed the fleet milestone of 10,000 flying hours since the maturing capability began in December 2013 with 725 Squadron operating from Naval Air Station Jacksonville in the USA.

USS Nimitz, USS Princeton, French Navy FS Jean Bart and Royal Australian Navy frigate HMAS Newcastle conduct a formation group sail demonstrating combined interoperability and multinational partnership in support of Commander, Task Force 50 operations in the Arabian Gulf.

HMAS Newcastle has completed an attachment with the US Navy’s 5th Fleet in the Arabian Gulf while deployed on maritime security operations in the Middle East region.

One of the Australian Navy’s newest aviation teams took out the honours for the coveted Collins Trophy recently with the 2016 ‘most proficient’ embarked helicopter flight going to some of those flying and maintaining the Seahawk Romeo.
