Navy personnel from Garden Island in Western Australia are all geared up to participate in what has become an annual extravaganza of all things 'maritime.'

USS Bonhomme Richard prepares to berth alongside Fleet Base East, Sydney.

More than 3,000 U.S. Sailors and Marines aboard USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) docked at Garden Island, Sydney today for a four day port visit.  While in town the ship will be hosted by the crew of NUSHIP Canberra.

Brisbane people line the deck of HMAS Newcastle when she visited Brisbane as part of Navy Week Brisbane in 2009.

Friday the 16th of August marks the start of Navy Week celebrations in Brisbane for 2013. This year's Navy Week has been moved forward from its traditional October dates to allow for more service personnel to participate in the upcoming International Fleet Review, in Sydney on October 3.

Around 30 member of the Royal Australian Navy’s International Fleet Review Sydney 2013 (IFR) project team, led by Captain Nick Bramwell, Director IFR, attended the IFR Table Top Risk Exercise on 15 July hosted by the NSW Government Department of Premier and Cabinet.
