Mr Herb Faust – celebrity chef and winner of the 2010 Iron Chef Australia Challenge – visited the HMAS Stirling Main Galley on 27 June 2013.

Herb was born in Western Australia and operates a successful business – Herb Faust Food – as well as being in demand as a food presenter and host for various events around Perth. Earlier this year, he supported the Cancer Foundation’s Long Table Lunch, which also involved Navy chefs from Stirling.

The purpose of the visit to the Stirling Main Galley was to share his knowledge and ideas and conduct a demonstration involving a number of the Stirling chefs in the process. The result of their efforts was a poached chicken and daikon rice noodle roll, spiced tamarind dressing and fresh herbs.
