The Commanding General, Marine Forces Pacific, Lieutenant General David Berger, USMC presented a US Meritorious Unit Commendation to Australia Defence Force personnel involved in the recovery efforts following the crash of a USMC MV-22 Osprey aircraft, onboard HMAS Adelaide, Fleet Base East, Sydney.

The United States Marine Corps has awarded a rare honour to 107 Australian Defence Force members who helped recover a US Marine aircraft off the north Queensland coast late last year.
