HMAS Perth’s  Operations Officer, Principal Warfare Officer, Lieutenant Commander Oliver (Olly) Nokes has been commended by Commander Joint Task Force 633, Air Vice Marshall Tim Innes during the ship’s final hours alongside in Muscat, Oman.

Able Seaman Mitchell Rodway is a member of the ship's company of HMAS Perth who, like the ship, is on his first operational deployment to the Middle East region as part of Operation MANITOU.

HMAS Perth's MH-60R leaves the flight deck while the ship is in Victoria, Seychelles, to assist the Seychelles' Coast Guard in a search and rescue mission after a civilian boat capsized during the night.

HMAS Perth and its embarked MH-60R helicopter supported a search and rescue off the coast of Seychelles on 14 August.

HMAS Perth prepare to take over patrol from HMAS Darwin in the Middle East Region as part of Operation MANITOU.

HMAS Perth has notched up more-than 10,000 nautical miles since leaving Australia on 7 June, and Commanding Officer, Captain Ivan Ingham, said his crew has now settled in to their Middle East deployment.

After five successful narcotic seizures in the Middle East and 203 days away from home, Royal Australian Navy frigate, HMAS Melbourne was welcomed back to her homeport of Sydney today.
