HMAS Anzac's ship's company have a morning tea to talk about domestic violence in support of White Ribbon.

Late in 2016 during a busy Sea Qualification Trial the crew of HMAS Anzac still found time to join together in support of White Ribbon and the 'stick your neck out' campaign.

Therapy dog program receives boost

Commanding Officer HMAS Cerberus, Captain Steve Bowater, OAM, RAN presented a Young Diggers Dog Squad cheque for $31,306 to Chief Executive Officer of Defence Bank Mr John Linehan and Ms Leanne Kyle, Executive Manager of Defence Bank Foundation. The Governor General of the Commonwealth of Australia, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and his wife, Her Excellency Lady Cosgrove, also attended the presentation. Navy personnel at HMAS Cerberus have presented a cheque for more than $31,000 to the Defence Community Dogs program, which supports the training of therapy dogs to help veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

In mid-December, naval engineering officer Lieutenant Commander Chris Maxworthy had the pleasure of a trip down memory lane, whilst taking time out to recognise students making memories of their own.

The ship’s company of Sydney base, HMAS Penguin and visitors from HMA Ships Watson and Waterhen answered the call from the Red Cross Blood Service for donations on in late November.
