The Royal Australian Navy’s Thredbo Ski Lodge has recently hosted 34 Tour de Cure cancer charity cyclists in the Snowy Mountains and Jindabyne.

The ship’s company of a Royal Australian Navy base south of Sydney have joined forces with the community to clean up a local national park and maintain its beauty.

HMAS Coonawarra recently joined the chorus of Australian Defence Force voices on White Ribbon Day calling for an end to violence against women.

In the spirit of Christmas, members of Training Force Headquarters opted out of a Kris Kringle this year, providing toys for donation to Westmead Children’s hospital instead.

The Northern Territory Government has recognised the integrity and leadership of a HMAS Coonawarra sailor by selecting him as a chaperone on its 2018 Anzac Spirit Study Tour.

The quick actions, cool heads and training of an officer and a sailor from HMAS Coonawarra have helped a seriously injured cyclist caught underneath a bus in Darwin recently.

A small contingent from 725 Squadron recently took great pleasure in presenting a cheque for $12,265 to their chosen charity.

It is a rare occasion that a submarine finds itself involved in the co-ordination of life-saving events, however that is exactly how the day began for the crew of HMAS Rankin last month.

Lawn bowls may invoke images of the elderly, but for a group of Navy members, the reality for Navy has been markedly different, as part of HMAS Stirling’s ongoing commitment to raising funds for children with disabilities.
