The sport of soccer is currently undergoing a resurgence at Fleet Base West, in Rockingham, after a busy 18 month period that has seen the team based at HMAS Stirling creating a strong impression in the local competition as well as against visiting ship’s teams.

Navy's MH-60R Seahawk Romeo helicopters have passed the fleet milestone of 10,000 flying hours since the maturing capability began in December 2013 with 725 Squadron operating from Naval Air Station Jacksonville in the USA.

As a baby, Damon Jackson was baptised at the HMAS Stirling Chapel in 1997 by Chaplain Robert Graue. The two are now both posted to HMAS Stirling 20 years on and caught up at the Chapel of St Paul at HMAS Stirling to reflect on their past history.

The odds of performing a wedding ceremony for a young Navy couple, baptising their son and then sitting next to him to reflect the events 20 years later, is extremely slim, but the Navy is one big family and stranger things have happened.
