The Australian Defence Force Academy held its graduation parade on Thursday December 12, 2013. 265 midshipmen and officer cadets graduated from their military training and tertiary education at the Academy.

Choules conducted a memorial service at a cemetery on Manus Island to remember Australians who died there. The ceremony was conducted on 24 October 2013 by the ship's Chaplain.
