The Australian Dental Association's 'Dental Health Week' is held every year to highlight the importance of good dental health and wellbeing. The 2013 theme for Dental Health Week was 'Young Adult Lifestyle Choices' and was held over the period 5-9 August, 2013.

HMAS Stirling's Oral Health Promotion involved Stirling Maritime Logistics Chefs submitting dentally friendly recipes, with the top recipes cooked-off in the galley in a 'Ready Steady Cook' style event. Stirling's Dental department took on the role of the contestants and assistants to the Chefs.

The top recipes were: Seaweed Risotto by Able Seaman Maritime Logistics - Chef (ABML-C) Kayla Robinson; Cumin Chicken and Pumpkin with warm chickpea salsa by ABML-C Matthew Brown and Parmesan Crust Spanish Mackerel with pine nut, spinach and sweet potato salad by ABML-C Matthew Lonie.
