Experienced Sailors prepare ship for disposal

When a ship is decommissioned it isn’t as simple as the crew walking away. Experienced staff support the disposal process and remove as much usable and valuable equipment from the ship that can be utilised again across the fleet and defence.

    A multi-national feat for 2 RAR on HMAS Adelaide

    2nd Battalion (Amphibious), Royal Australian Regiment (2 RAR) soldiers have embarked HMAS Adelaide as part of the largest multinational force the ship has welcomed on board since her commissioning in 2015.

    When the Anzac Class frigate HMAS Anzac returned recently from a deployment to South East Asia one of the ship's first tasks was to support the filming of a video to promote the upcoming Invictus Games to be held in Sydney in October 2018.

    Fleet Commander meets Navy RIMPAC Commanders

    With final preparations being conducted before sailing for the sea phase, aboard HMAS Success there was meeting of minds when Navy’s senior leadership team for RIMPAC 18 met with Fleet Commander Rear Admiral Jonathan Mead.

    Dolphins demand dedication to duty

    Not everyone in the Navy gets the honour of wearing the Submariner Dolphin badge. The Navy’s ‘Silent Service’ has a proud tradition of selecting the best personnel from candidates who volunteer to serve in this complex specialisation.
